GABA Residential building is located in Kigali city, Nyarugenge district, Murama sector. The name

’’ GABA” is inspired by the ability of the building to conquer the user’s attention and capture the surrounding natural environment. The fact that the building spaces are well connnected, arranged nourishes the functionality and aesthetics it deserves.

The building is built on a narrow slopy site hence infuencing the composition and its overall design. The cubes were placed following site morphology allowing site accessibility and its corresponding scenic views from the East.

The volumes were integrated to allow extrusion as well as intrusion of the boxes to provide proper shading and private spaces every luxurious building seeks. Furthermore, in this context, openness were created in the living room by means of large openings that allows the users to explore beautiful hills of Murama.

The building consist of a large living room, dinnining room, Kitchen, a store, 4 bedrooms and a garage. The relationship established between the indoor spaces and the exteriors helps in defining the ideal connection of the floors and gives the entire composition a spatial continuity.

Landscape as other main feature in the context, It was introduced in different aspects to cool the building while also the waterscape seen from the Eastern gate serves the purpose.

The building is a mixture of a rigid structure and open facades which makes it purely modern and ordinary fitting in the context.
