Description

The Structural Engineer will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and optimizing structural components for our projects. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise and creativity to develop safe, cost-effective, and aesthetically pleasing solutions. Strong problem-solving skills, efficient time management, and the ability to work collaboratively with teams and clients are essential for this role.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities


1. Design and Analysis:

  • Develop structural designs and solutions for various projects, ensuring safety, stability, and compliance with standards.

  • Perform detailed calculations and simulations to evaluate the strength and integrity of structures.

  • Optimize designs to balance functionality, aesthetics, and cost-efficiency.

2. Detailing and Documentation:

  • Prepare detailed drawings, models, and specifications using design software (e.g., ArchiCAD, AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools).

  • Collaborate with architects, project managers, and construction teams to integrate structural designs seamlessly into overall project plans.

  • Ensure all documentation adheres to industry standards and project requirements.

3. Creative Problem-Solving:

  • Identify and resolve design challenges with innovative and practical solutions.

  • Analyze project constraints and propose alternative materials or methods to achieve project goals.

  • Adapt designs to accommodate changing requirements or unforeseen challenges during construction.

4. Project Coordination:

  • Work closely with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure clarity and alignment on structural requirements.

  • Review and approve structural plans, ensuring compliance with local codes and regulations.

  • Monitor progress during construction, providing technical guidance as needed.

5. Time Management:

  • Prioritize tasks effectively to meet project deadlines without compromising quality.

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of deliverables.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).

  • 2 years of proven experience in structural design and analysis.

  • Proficiency in design and analysis software (e.g., ProtaStructure, STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, AutoCAD, Revit).

  • In-depth knowledge of structural systems, materials, and construction techniques.

  • Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (e.g., ACI, ASCE, Eurocodes, or local regulations).

  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a creative and solution-oriented mindset.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to convey complex ideas clearly.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
