Description

The Project Manager will oversee all aspects of construction projects, including planning, coordinating with suppliers, scheduling, and managing resources. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with excellent time management skills, a knack for supplier management, and a proven ability to lead teams to deliver exceptional results.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning and Execution:

  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.

  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.

  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring alignment with project goals.

2. Time Management:

  • Create and maintain project schedules, ensuring all tasks and milestones are completed on time.

  • Anticipate potential delays and implement contingency plans to keep projects on track.

  • Monitor and optimize workflows to improve efficiency.

3. Supplier and Resource Management:

  • Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.

  • Negotiate contracts and monitor supplier performance to maintain quality and cost-effectiveness.

  • Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure project needs are met without delays.

4. Team Leadership:

  • Lead and motivate project teams, including architects, engineers, subcontractors, and laborers.

  • Assign roles and responsibilities, ensuring clear communication and accountability.

  • Resolve conflicts and foster a collaborative work environment.

5. Budget Management:

  • Monitor project expenses to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.

  • Prepare and present financial reports to stakeholders.

6. Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, codes, and standards.

  • Address and resolve issues promptly to minimize disruptions.

7. Communication and Reporting:

  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, stakeholders, and team members.

  • Provide regular updates on project progress, challenges, and solutions.

  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive project documentation and reports.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

  • 2 years of proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry.

  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, scheduling tools, and project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar).

  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.

  • Proven ability to manage suppliers and negotiate effectively.

  • Excellent time management skills, with a track record of meeting deadlines.

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for client and stakeholder engagement.
